They wern't there, and I saw some cats brought from behind the house. I thought they were burning leaves when I got home, that's what it smelled like. I took one look out the window when I got inside and saw someone in the yard, so I thought nothing of it until the fire trucks were outside.

I hope the American Red Cross came out to help them out - atleast where I live, the local chapter has a Disaster Action Team (DAT Team) that comes out to all the housefires to make sure the family has the basic needs like food, clothing, a place to stay, etc...
