Neo fitting in a Deluxe Cradle

One of my customers destroyed his Deluxe recently.

He has replaced it with a Neo. I have read that the older Deluxe cradles are supposed to work with these guys. It does, but it just does not fit quite right. The Neo is real loose, and seems to "Stick Up" or "Pop up" from the connector, causing it to loose sync sometimes unless yoou physically hold the Neo into the Cradle. I know that the solution is to use the included Neo cradle, but he wants a cradle at home and in the office.

Is this a common problem? Or is it unique to this setup?

Neo & VDX Cradle

I use the VDX serial cradle at work and the Neo USB at home. It works graet and doe not lose its syncs.
