Ha!!!

I think we'll have to stick with the wife's choice. She doesn't have THAT kind of a sense of humor. Although staying married to me seems to impart that she at least does have a very active sense of humor. Just not THAT one.

When my brother's baby was born, some of the rejected boy's names were Asmodeus, Thor, Banyan, and Razzmatazz. They settled on Jacob Logan LaPrise. Oh well... we tried.

Congratulations and enjoy every day of Charlotte's childhood. She'll be 21 before you know it! (My Rachel turned 21 in May. Eep!)

Going to get? What makes you think I have to go out and buy one? Proper question is, "Which holster will you be wearing?"

Gosh, I wonder if my wife will accept you as an expert on this? Ruger just came out with a sweet 50th Anniversary Commemorative Single-Six . I also still don't have a Browning Auto Shotgun .

That's why I waited until I was 30 before I had kids. By the time they're 21 I'll be that much closer to being too forgetful to worry!

Dunno, but my wife already does, so...

Those are nice for collection purposes, but I'd find something like this much more suited for suitor interviews. Of course, even my laser-sighted plinking gun (10-22) would do the job for most, probably.

I was thinking more along the lines of either my S&W 686 with a 6" barrel (my first .357) or my service issue .45. I guess i'm in favor of the more subtle approach

You've forgotten teenagers. Hormones overwhelm their subtlety detectors. The .45 would work with full marine field gear maybe (or the .357 with a police uniform). A laser sight between the eyes and panning down to the crotch will definitely get the message across, though. Oh...and definitely don't forget the martial arts lessons (to supplement ballet).

Talking Mom's advice on raising girls...

As the mom of two girls (both teenagers) I can offer some expert advice.

Teach the girl to shoot, and to stand up for herself. There is nothing more intimidating than a self-confidant woman.

My daughters ride motorcycles, one flies a plane, and they both play softball. Plus they do jazz dance and tap. So they've both got well rounded personalities!

We've always encouraged them to speak their minds, and let them know that we love them.

Enjoy her baby years. Before you know it, you'll be walking her down the aisle...

*shrug* I don't know. I've always found self-confident women who know how to shoot attractive. Seems to me that the only people intimidated by a self-confident woman who knows how to shoot is one who might otherwise try to get something past her. See, the weapon thing is also sort of a test. I personally would have never been intimidated by such a tactic. But then again, my intentions were always honorable, or maybe I'm a little tetched (both is probably the real truth ).
