New Memplug update v1.5

Well, memplug calls it v1.5 in my email. But when you unzip it, it shows as v 1.21, maybe this is a specific numbering system?

Anyway, here are the improvements:

<1.21>
- (New) Combine japanese version <1.19> and internation version <1.04>
- (Fix) PiDirect beta 4 with bug fix and speed enhancement - please read below before use
- (Enhance) PiDirect beta 4 support up to 20 files
- (Fix) PiDirect fixed Read Only option in advanced setting
- (Fix) PiDirect fixed crash if \Palm\PiDirect\ directory is empty
- (Fix) PiDirect fixed global find problem
- (Fix) PiDirect numerous minor bug fix to support BugMe, BeamBox etc...
- (Fix) PiBackup now automatically pause PiDirect
- (New) PiBackup enhanced support for FireViewer and EyeModule2
- (New) PiMover enhanced support for FireViewer and EyeModule2

Yup, yup, I love being the first on my block with the NEW toy!

Unhappy

It was supposed to be this weekend but there's no sign of it in the download section nor mention of it on the Mailing list.

- (New) PiMover enhanced support for FireViewer and EyeModule2 "

Anyone know what this will mean?

Thanks,

Since a new method is used to transfer the database between visor and the smartMedia card.

You can now backup and/or copy FireViewer and EyeModule2 's database from and to SmartMedia card without any problem.

The update is version 1.21, and it will release on this Tuesday for public download.

Thanks for asking.

Could you explain what is difference between the old method and the new one ? Does it mean that all bugs related to difference between databases and images on SM are fixed ?

The file transfer of the old method is mainly depend on PalmOS ExgMgr.
While the new method is newly implemented by PiTech for file transfer.

It solve the problem related to the original exchange manager from PalmOS v3.1 and v3.5, eg. EyeModule, and FireViewer problem.

I wonder if that will also fix the problem I had with my GEODE, If I tried to move map PDB's from the smart media, without hotsyncing them first, I would get database version errors..

1.5 Updater

Where can I get the 1.5 Update. I just had the problem with the \Palm\PiDirect directory and couldn't figure out the problem until I saw your e-mail. It fixed it manually creating the directory from a stand alonw SM Reader on the PC.

If you don't mind, please e-mail the update to [email protected]. I'd be very thankful for it
