J. Peterman would get whatever the writer's considered to be the hottest and trendiest, probably the Treo or Handera. He would use about 10% of the functions- basic organization and some stupid but showy apps. I can see him showing off the time in Borneo to Elaine.
Elaine would get a Palm M500 or some other 'businessperson's special', nothing too fancy OR the Prism because of the colors. She would take forever to figure it out, but once started she would become quite dependent on it. She would become a smug advocate of PDA's- you know- the guy in the office who is torn between being the only one with the thing, and wanting to convince everyone else to go get one at the same time.
I can see J. Peterman's company issuing PDAs to certain managers, and Elaine being asked to teach the classes because of her percieved expertise, which is mostly bluff and Jerry's help.
Jerry would probably get an Edge for the slim lines, and usually carry it in his jacket or pants pocket OR a device with a wireless modem so he could stay connected to the internet- one of his more recent addictions. He would be a fairly subtle user, unless he was trying to impress someone (probably a girl or competing comedian), then he would either launch into a 'power user' showboat mode, or a comedy bit about these devices.
Jerry would also buy one for his dad, to replace the old Wizard he got for him in one episode. His mom would end up with it, and start a successful home-based business totally tracked on her PDA. His mom would become a real power user with the cell phone, wireless modem, PDA, etc.- although for dramatic reasons, I doubt she would use an integrated device.
Kramer would get one, but use it mostly as a toy. I can see him getting the Neo, PowerNapper, massage unit, etc. and literally having entire scenes built around his novel usages of the various modules (Whipping out the recipe module in a restaraunt to see what is in the dish everyone ordered, etc.) He would also use the vibrating alarm module- a LOT- especially when carrying it in his pants.
George would get a refurbished Deluxe, that was constantly giving him problems because he would be constantly trying to do things with it he did not quite understand. Try to beam out his business card, and he would accidently beam an embarassing photo- that kind of thing. I can clearly see him smacking the side of the device in exasperation ("This is all messed up!" he whined). He would have all his personal data there, only to mess up putting in the password protection.
So- on a similar note- how about thoise Cathy cartoons on buying a PDA?
