importing cardfile data into address list

I have an old Microsoft cardfile and wondered if anyone knew of a way to import/convert this data so that it could be added to my address list.

It's been so long since I used CardFile that I've forgotten all about it!

Since i can't remember, does it even have any export capability? If so, you might be able to export it to a .TXT file and then import it into the Address Book. If there's no export function, I'm not sure what options you'd have other than good old cut 'n paste.

No it doesn't have any export function. You can save the file as a text file that is quite readable, but I don't see any easy way to import these names and addresses into my Outlook contacts or Palm desktop addresses. I see that Palm desktop can import from a text file, but it handled the cardfile text file poorly (contained several names in the first record with no addresses or telephone numbers).

As a funny off-topic item, I remember a PC that was stolen from on of our offices about 7-8 years ago. The cops found the PC when they raided some drug dealer's place and returned it to our staff. Our staff found that the dealer and used the cardfile to record his buyers, who owed him money, etc. The PC soon became Exhibit A in the case.
