Question

ok, so i am running os8.5, with hosync manager and palm desktop 2.1. i had tried the handspring upgrade, but it was waaaaayyy more trouble than it was worth, so i uninstalled it, and reinstalled the original stuff. now...

it used only to get hung up for a minute or so during determining handheld configuration. that's pretty much better, now, but, then, for a while, it was logging messages with the built in databases on every sync, about duplicate entries on each platform, and being deleted on one platform and stored on the other. that hasn't happenned now for a couple of syncs, but now, i realize, i've lost random appointments.

and, now, during the backup phase, the mac seems to finish up cleanly, but the visor says the connection was lost, and some of the data was not backed up. when this used to happen, it was because of the upgraded software/backup folder issue, and it happenned much earlier in the hotsync process, causing a mac system freeze. the visor dseems to get hung up when backing up vindigo.

any thoughts? (besides the following: )

i was fine before i tried that stupid upgrade.

:mad ooooooooooohhhhhhh!

Thumbs up

I was having a similar problem. I followed the thread in this section
"<A HREF="http://discussion.visorcentral.com/Forum2/HTML/001237.html" TARGET=_blank>New HS
software and MacOS 9.04 sync problem.</A>" and was finally able to HotSync
my Visor with my Mac. Although I did have to do one final soft-reset after I
followed 'all' of the advice in this thread. Hope this helps.
