My first impressions of the VE are not good ones.

Positives:
-Cradle (has good weight to it, easy to attach the unit to it)
-Screen (appears to be a little sharp/crisper then past models)
-Lithium Ion battery
-Overall size and feel of the unit is solid*.

Negatives:
-The convex buttons are actually recessed (sp) in the molding so it actually makes them harder to push.
-Screen texture is different from past models, a little bit harder to move the stylus around on it (i.e. when scrolling).
-Stylus rattles when attached to the unit and the overall design/placement of the stylus holster is poor.
-Stylus shape/feel is awkward at best....hopefully PDA Panache will get on the ball and come up with something better.
-As with all the Visor models. The InfraRed placement is ridiculous. It should be somewhere @ the top of the unit.

Anyway...I am going to play around with it a little more before I make my final decision. In my opinion though, this unit is something you really need to see before you buy it. Pictures just do not cut it.
