I got my innopak 2/v today...some initial thoughts:
1. if you're using add-on alarm sounds, make sure you either select one that only plays for a short duration or one of the standard ones that come with the visor....the vibrator motor will run as long as the third-party sound plays.
2. while testing your new springboard, set your alarm to only ring once, if you got it set for multiple times, so will the vibrator unit go off, quite annoying if you're like me and left it on the "indiana jones" sound alarm which runs for a long time.
3. had some problems with jotloc initially I think due to the long audio alarm I have left it set it originally...once I switched to the "alert" alarm that's bundled with palmOS, then all was well with jotloc...even get the option to snooze an alarm now...without having to use 3alarmhack!
4. if left on desk, the vibrator motor is strong enough to set your visor moving...even when in its case. In fact, it vibrated the case right off the edge of my desk, so be mindful of this....the case protected the visor from the fall to carpet.
5. I use the rhodiana clip-on case, tried it and can feel the innopak vibrate but not as strongly as when held in one's hand. Still, it's detectable.
6. NOTE: definitely affects battery charge when it runs for more than a few seconds. I watched the battery gauge drop .10 as it vibrated! Definitely pick an audio alarm which is short! No big surprise that it uses up battery power, just something not very emphasized either at the Innogear website.
So far, am happy with its performance, the extra 2MB of storage will come in handy someday, right now I've still got 4.4mb free within the Visor so it's a nice to have only.
