Yahoo Calender

I was looking at using Yahoo Calendar since MyPalm is dead.
They offer two options for sync software - Intellisync or TrueSync.
Anyone have experience with Yahoo Calendar and/or either of these sync options?

Thanks!

I prefer Truesync as you can sync between the PDA, desktop and Yahoo rather than just the PDA and Yahoo. You can enable/disable each link also. Its nice to have MyYahoo up to see when my next appmt. is and it will send e-mail reminders also.

I use Yahoo and sync with Intellisync. I do have the occasional duplicated appointment (usually happens if I set/change an alarm) when I sync. Deleting one of the duplicates usually results in all instances of the appointment disappearing on either Yahoo or my Visor. My workaround is to just create a new appt and delete the original if I have to change the alarm time (yeah, a pain.)

Recently something went wrong with Yahoo Address Book and all of my contacts there disappeared when I sync'd. I was able to restore it by importing from my Outlook Express address book, which I also sync to Yahoo with Intellisync (requires I go into Intellisync setup). Renews my faith in the "always back things up" belief.

Intellisync syncs the Yahoo To-do list and the Notepad as well as calendar and address book, while TrueSync does not. TrueSync also does not support Outlook Express address book.

I also use Yahoo with Intellisync and have had no problems.

A feature that Yahoo has, that is really great, is it can send a meeting reminder to a pager. 30 minutes before a meeting and my pager goes off to remind me of the meeting. I love it.

I am using Intellisync, and it works quite nicely.

I tried Truesync, and I had some problems with it. Nothing major, just enough to make me prefer the simpler Intellisync.

I used TrueSync for over a year and was generally very happy with it.
If you need to sync with more than one PIM, then it's really the best choice (At one time I was syncing to Yahoo, Palm Desktop and Outlook. That got pretty hairy!).

Otherwise, I would use Intellisync for Yahoo. I've been using IS4Y for about a year, and I find it a bit more reliable and have less problems with duplicate contacts. Also, TrueSync would sometimes duplicate certain calendar events, adding another event during each sync.

The reason I switched was because I really needed to sync Notepad, something that TrueSync does not provide. I found this to be more imporant that multi-point syncing. BTW, contrary to another post, both products do sync ToDo's.

The only problem I have with IS4Y, is that the conduits are gone after rebooting, which requires me to go into the IS4Y applications and click the Appliation Setings button, which then restores the conduits.
