I am beginning to investigate the memory/flash Springboard modules. Can I run any programs/applications from any of these modules?

If the program is coded to use the device. Otherwise, no.
Search these forumns for memplug and cf adapter.
There are many previous discussions.
Also, Yahoo Groups has discussion groups set up for Flash adapters.
