According to a member of Sharp's Zaurus development team, Sharp may be offering a limited number of SL-5000D developer units at a price of around $200! Presumably this is to clear them out in preparation for the release of the SL-5500 (consumer model). Though the SL-5500 offers twice the RAM (32MB vs 16MB) and improved charging in the cradle, the developer units are otherwise identical and if you throw in a SD or CF card for extra storage, you can pretty much negate the RAM difference.

Techie, if you (or anyone else) are interested, I'll post details here when available.

Congratulations to Dave Kessler for writing an app for the Zaurus that made the top 50 cut in Trolltech's contest for apps for the Zaurus. (http://www.trolltech.com/company/an...Show&AID=89). Dave, can you tell us anything about Drifter?

For only $200 You can bet I am interested. I will start stockpiling money right now. The ROM is flash so I will be able to upgrade if any upgrades come out right?
