Hotsync connector pushed in.

Ok.. I broke yet another Visor.. While biking home with my Prism in my pocket, something happend to it, and when I tryed to sync, and it wouldn't I looked at my visor. The connection wasn't their, and was in fact about .25 inches into the visor. It had ripped clear of it's soldered contacts, and I had no chance of fixing it

So.. my FIFTH visor will arrive tuesday morning. GOD BLESS Handspring. They have been so great to me.

My question is , has this ever happened to you?

Interestingly enough, this happened to me just the other day--I lent a prism & cradle to someone else to try out, and when I got it back, the hotsync connector was loose inside. I figure it happened from the newbie forcing it down into the cradle when it wasn't situated properly. Took it apart and resoldered it, and it works, but the "anchor pads" (the large non-functional ones on the sides) had ripped the contacts out of the board, so it's less durable now.

Michael,

Happened to me too, right after I got my Stowaway. I think it was from me muscling it onto the Stowaway contacts the first few times I used it. I wasn't using the gorilla "smash it on there" method, but I was not just clicking it on either... Funny thing was that I was showing this "neat new keyboard/gadget" thing I got to a couple of friends when I broke the connector. Ooopps!

Handspring replaced the Prism, no questions asked.

Killer Pixel

One dead pixel? I had a whole bunch...a triangle that went out about eight pixexs from the lower left to the upper left hand corner...dead...all dead. Handspring sent me a new one (my third at the time).

Is this only happening on the Prisms?
