Red face

If you're trying to use PQA's with a data cable or landline modem (I don't think this affects Yadayada/Omnisky users)and wondering why you can't connect to the server, read this:

February 27, 2001 - Content-Dev.palm.net and Content-Dev2.palm.net, formerly 209.247.202.106 and 209.247.202.107, will be down on this date. Both systems
will down while they are physically moved. After the move, both will be up and
running the next day under their new IPs, which are below:
Content-Dev Web Source IP address: 206.112.114.81 (gw40usjc.palm.net)
content providers see this as your IP address
San Jose Content-Dev Elaines #1: 206.112.114.82 (content-dev.palm.net)
San Jose Content-Dev Elaines #2: 206.112.114.83 (content-dev2.palm.net)

PQA- Easter egg trick

I use PQAs with YY. No luck connecting to server. Do you think I have to do the ole easter egg trick to change the IP addresses again? I did that the first time when I installed the requisite Palm clipping libraries. If only I can find the instructions for that again....

That fixed it

I changed server IP address to 206.112.114.82 and that fixed my PQA problem on a Minstrel YY/Prism.

In case anyone is wondering how-to, the instructions are here:

http://www.geocities.com/daveinfopa...ebclipping.html

Just remember to substitute in 206.112.114.82 instead of 209.247.202.106

Thanks for the heads up Usonian and MSNobbley!
