Exclamation Internet on Visor With IR PORT PLEASE HELP!!!

I have a basic visor handheld 2mb of memory. I have sucsesfully managed to enable a IR (Infrared) hotsync with my Toshiba Portege 7010ct laptop and its IR port. wasn't hard just somehow managed to find the instructions online, at this site in case your wondering

http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/wir...da_hotsync.html

anyhow what i want to be able to do if it is possilbe is to get internet access on my visor using the IR port on the visor and my laptop. I don't know if this can realy be done or not. I have read that you can do it through a seiral cable if you use some kinda of gateway on the hosting machine and something about PPP. I dont know a ton about networking but managed to get my cable router up with 5 computers on my network.

Sorry I'm babbling, I have a cable connnection my laptop is connected to my router. If i can't get the internet connection from my visor to my laptop with the IR i would like to do it with the USB cradle, i have read that there are problems using the usb something about needing a serial port emulator for the usb port which would make sence the way windows is setup.

ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME IS MUCH APPREICATED THANKS!!! )
