I have win98, trying to do the USB hotsync. Yesterday all was fine, and I had synced 2 times through the day, before I was leaving work for home, I tried to hotsync, and it timed out. I had had this problem before and it was handled with a reboot of the machine, so I figured this morning Ill just do a hotsync.

This morning I tried it and no go. I have rebooted the machine, did the soft reset, and tried the cradle on another machine that has the software set up on it. The only thing I havn't tried yet is another cradle, which Im waiting for someone to come into work for...

Anyone have any ideas, or know of any USB cradles dying?

Thanx for any help...

Chris

My cradle hasn't died (since it works like a charm on other machines), but my HotSync processes seem to die pretty regularly. I'm using a Mac, which should be quite different from your Wintel machine, but it seems the problems I'm having are popping up across the platforms. The best success I've had yet is reinstalling the desktop software, something I'm not inclined to do regularly.
