I'd like to get a copy of an eyemodule database (or set of databases) so that I can try the eyecontact program. I installed it and eyebeam but as far as I can tell I can't get pictures into eyecontact without having an eyecontact database. I'm guessing that just plugging an eyemodule into my Visor would work, but I don't have one.

Could some kind eyemodule owner send me some empty eyemodule database files that I could load onto my Visor and then import pictures into?

TIA

Eyecontact uses the same database of contacts that the Address application uses. Any contacts in your Address book will also appear in eyecontact.

If you are in Eyecontact, select a name from your contact list, then click EDIT. You'll see a screen where you can see a thumbnail picture if you have one already, and CHOOSE and CAPTURE buttons. Choose lets you pick pictures from the eyemodule images you've taken. Capture turns on the camera and lets you capture an image to go directly into eyecontact. Obviously without an eyemodule you won't have either option.

When the eyemodule images are sync'ed to the desktop, they are saved simply as .jpg files. They are in no database file format I could email you.

I have several images in my eyemodule database, but I promised the subjects in the pictures they were for my own use only. Trust me that once you have an eyemodule camera you'll be happy with the eyecontact application. It should have been included ON the camera module in my opinion. It's the best excuse for having an eyemodule, especially if your memory for names/faces is as weak as mine.

IN addition, an empty eyemodule database would not have any pictures in it. Eyebeam only has two options... to Beam Eyemodule pics to another palm device that has imageviewer on it, or convert Eyemodule images to imageviewer compatible files if you have imageviewer (fireview) on your own visor.

Sorry I can't be more helpful. I love my eyemodule.

Right, I can try eyecontact, but I can't attach pictures without the image database. The eyemodule databases on the Visor should get backed up by the backup conduit, or could if the backup bit was set by Backup Buddy or some other utility.

If I had an empty database then I could use the eyemodule conduit to load some pictures into the empty database and try eyecontact with pictures. I've tried it without pictures, but that doesn't really show me how good it can look with pictures.
