Question

Ok, have my new edge, did the trade up from my VxD. And need to find a case like I have for my visor. VxD used a rhino-skin soft cover that had a belt loot snap. Great and was padded. Is there a like unit for the edge somewhere. Rhino doesnt have one.

Not yet, from what I've heard. I have to say that HS's cases are an option for me, since they (finally) snap. Velcro is a deal-breaker for me.

I use a leather case from Targus that has a belt clip and velcro on the flap. The Edge fits nicely in it - a little snug with the SpringBoard adapter attached, but still fits if the modules aren't any bigger than the adapter itself

Cool

I had the same question. I currently use a Vaja with belt clip for my VDX. I was hoping to have one for my Edge that I just ordered. So I emailed Vaja and this was their reply:

You have received a message
from: GV

Will you be offering a belt clip case for the Visor Edge? I love the one I
have for my Deluxe and have just upgraded to the Edge

Thanks
---

Dear GV,
We will be releasing this case in the future, but we don't have a fixed
date. As soon as this happens we will let you know by mail.
Thanks

Best regards

So hopefully these will be out sometime soon!

Thumbs up

Just purchased from the Handspring web site the ultra soft calf premier case. Just received it a couple of days ago and i'm happy with it. The only thing is the loop inside to hold an extra stylus kinda cramps things pretty tight once you close the case and zipper it up. Even with a regular stylus meant for the standard Visor in the loop it's still a little tight. This is my only complaint as it's a nice case. Almost bought the Aluminum case but passed on it. I can recommend the soft premier case even though it's priced at $50 dollars.

Rhodiana cases

I used Rhodiana's case for the VDx for about two years and it served me very well. Does anyone know if the Edge will fit into any of Rhodiana's cases?

I recently traded up my VDX for an Edge and I also had a rhodiana case for the vdx. I tried slipping the edge into the rhodiana case and it fits "ok". I mean that the case is still tight enough to keep the edge from slipping out of the case but it adds considerable thickness. you have to remove the flip cover or it won't fit..

I think it makes a pretty good "throw around case" solution for the edge. good protection for packed schoolbags, etc... but not a suitable "all the time" case.. =)

heh.. anyone wanna buy a used rhodiana case cheap?
=)

If protection is the major concern, take a look at HS's aluminum cover.

Phone Case

Handspring makes a case for the Visor + Visorphone, and I found the Edge with the Springboard adapter and phone fits quite nicely into it.

The Aluminum Slider for the Edge is also nice when you want something a bit more indestructable.

Aluminum Slider maybe destructible

I saw this video a while ago, and it made me decide that if I do get a Rhinoskin slider case it will have to be titanium. This video will make you think twice. Now I know that not many cases will ever get run over by a car, but hey it could happen.

Aluminum hard case

It seems to me that the hard case, while fine for defense against crushing trauma, would not offer superior protection against falls, depending on what material is actually touching the Visor in the hard case.

I believe if you now go to Rhinoskin's site, you'll see the have a soft leather "flip" case for the Visor Edge.

Hopefully, that's what you are lookin for.
