Question

Hi!

Does anybody have any idea how to install a file directly onto the 8MB Flash Module without having to install it to the Visor first?

Sometimes I need to install a big file onto the Module, but it is rather troublesome to have to clear the Visor memory first.

BTW, How does the MiniJam/SoundsGood transfer big files?

cheers.

With File Mover, you are stuck. You can only exchange files between the Visor's main memory and the 8MB SBM. However, the MJ/SG SBMs have conduits that allow the transfer of MP3 files directly to their respective SBMs. Also, BackupBuddy already can write to/from the 8MB SBM. You might want to contact them re: your needs; maybe they'll add your requested feature to the next version of BB.

Lightbulb

I know that BB can backup from the Flash Module directly, but didn't know that it can write to the Flash module also.
Thanks for that info.

How hard is it to write a conduit like the MJ/SG?

Not my area of expertise, but it is probably in the non-trivial category if you go for the quality of the SG conduit.
