Thumbs up

I'm thinking about buying a VDX or Vx. Investigating differences I stumbled upon this site. After reading all the Pro's en Con's I am further from a decision then before. Looking at the price I'd go for the VDX. I have no problem with crashes, only thing that made my Workpad crash were Hacks. But I'd still have to go Vx since I don't know how to get my hands on a Visor...being an European. Handsprings'policy sucks!

By the way, my compliments for this site... Best discussion board I've seen so far.

Hi Driver!
It's good to see next person from Europe wanting to buy visor - I hope that people from Handspring are reading this!
About your question - there is a quick comparison on http://www.visorcentral.com/article.php3?id=10&pv=1

What's up with those manufacturers? The Vx is also available only in the US... Is any of you comming to The Netherlands anytime soon? If so I would like for you to bring me an Vx. Easy as I work at the only International Airport Holland has
If I order online at Mypilot.com I'll end up paying $ 570,-..tax and stuff. That's 170 more than it costs.

By the way, what's up with that TRG pro? Is it an option or not?
Anyone wanna buy my Psion5Mx for $250,-

Driver,

If you know anybody in the US you can let handspring sent it to them. They can sent it to you...

Or you can wait till volgend jaar and order direclty at handspring. they claim to be selling internationally Q1 2000...

It would be good to have some more dutch people with visors....

I orignally ordered the a BDX the day it came out, I really love the thing. But since a lot of the Spring Boards are still vaporware, and I really need a serial cable and a Wireless modem, I ended up getting a Vx too.

Now I can have my Omnisky modem, and when the GPS module comes out, I can just leave the BDX in my car.

If I could do it all again, I would just the the Standard Visor and do the 8 Meg upgrade myself for about $15.

If memory is the only difference, there's no reason for me to get a VDX...Then again, if I can't get a Visor how am I gonna get my hands on the memory

Still no one coming towards Europe? so you can bring me a Vx?!?

Europe has the that Farnell (sp?) place. They carry all the cool electronics parts. You mean for someone to bring you a Visor not the Vx (Palm) right?

Ah gotcha. No I'm not willing to give up either one.

If you guys have a market for used ones and skilled in soldering disassembly, you can go my original route and take a V and upgrade yourself.

See the home page of the link above.

Farnell (sp?) is an electronics parts house in Europe. They carry almost everything and mail order in Europe.
