Unhappy Help. Visorphone causes fatal exception...

I'm sure this topic has been discussed somewhere, but I just can't find it and hope that someone might be able to shed some light.

Here goes. I've got a Visor Platinum (VPL) with VisorPhone (VP). I've recently noticed that after turning the VP off and detaching it from the VPL, a fatal exception is generated and I'm forced to immediately reset. I do have a few hacks (using X-Master) and have turned them off. Unfortunately, the problem remains everytime I detach the VP . The one aspect that I do know is after performing a hard reset and re/inserting the VP, the fatal exception message doesn't appear. As a result, it's definitely an app of some sort.

I can probably go through the tedious 'process of elimination' routine , but thought to ask if anyone else come across this issue and can provide another, straight-forward solution.

TIA

When you remove the VP, are you making sure to be at the launcher instead of in a VP application?

Yes, I'm always in an application other than the VP apps during removal.

I suppose you've tried with the VP turned off?

Maybe you want to back up your VPL and then hard-reset it. Then with a completely bare system, see if the VP still crashes. If it does, that proves a VP defect.

Based on the original post, paragraph 3, he has already done this.

I would also agree it has something to do with an app you are using. Since it has not always done this, do you know what you have installed recently?

After agonizing over the long list of recently added applications, I think I found the culprit. It was a Prefs-resident app called DST Keeper v3.1. After removing the app via Filez and resetting, I went through the process of turning off the VP, un-checking any hacks, switching to another application, removed the VP and crossed my fingers...and viola, no fatal exception message!!

I've backed up my VPL again, just in case. All is well now. I've already gone through the VP re/inserting process without a hitch. I hope that this will prove useful for someone other than myself.
