Question

Please don't reply to this with comments like; "edit your registry", or "uninstall USB root hub in device manager", or "check BIOS to see if USB is activated".

I have gotten my IVD to hot sync via serial and I know my USB is working because I use a USB intellimouse in Win98 SE2.

When I try to do it using USB the hot sync window pops up for a split second and then disappears and the unit fails to synch. My handspring is obviously not the problem because it sync's via serial, and my USB works fine for Digital camera and my mouse.

I heard some users a few weeks back mentioning similar problems with an Asus P2B-DS(Dual/Scsi) board. I was wondering if its a driver issue with this particular board or if someone found a work around.

For now I can use the serial to sync win98 and win2000 without problems but I wouldn't mind the extra speed in Win98 of USB.

Thanks in advance for any help with this. sorry its so long!
