Now that I can see who is online the VisorCentral discussion board while I am online, when can we expect to click on peoples names and start a realtime chat session.. heh..

Interesting idea...

I brought it up at our afternoon meeting, and our programmers had some really neat ideas of how it could be implemented. We can write a web based chat system if there were an interest for it � it would be like a VC instant messenger.

I like the idea of real-time chat. It would be nice to take some discussions "one-on-one" so to speak. Also, somewhere down the road, who knows, maybe we could have weekly or monthly guests online for a chat...

That's a really good Idea! So I'm online reading Marc's comments, and marc's their and so I reply directly to them. Or I talk to marcus. Or talk to homer about what he does in th same city Iam in.. You know that could go real far.. And then we could archive the chats.. If it were not one on one.. Cool!

On an off note, I remember seeing the names of online users at the bottom of the page the first day or so of the new board, but now I don't. Is it just me?

My only issue with chat would be that some solutions would be addressed in a chat environment and the history of the discussion would not be available to others that are offline.

(As I type this, there are only 2 members and 4 guests)
