I wanted to know if anyone has gotten the following setup to work.

I have a Sprint Phone and I am going to purchase the Wireless Web Connection Kit. This will allow me to connect my cell phone to the serial cradle. But will I be able to dial an ISP? I thought I had heard of someone doing this, but I wasn't sure......

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it. I am taking a trip out of town for the weekend and I want to be able to access the net and my mail.

Or, if anyone in the Tampa, FL area wants to rent me a Visor modem for the weekend!

Thanks all!
Ryan Clayton

Yes, you can dial your ISP. I use Eudora for palm to get to my e-mail account, and I use Proxiweb to surf the web through my ISP.

Can be done. Check out the discussion at this link: http://discussion.visorcentral.com/...mp;pagenumber=1

I successfully connected with a QCP-2700. Other have been sucessfull with other phones. Be careful about your time when experimenting. You can be charged as much as 39 cents a minute if you're not already signed up for their internet access plan (about $10/month). For Sprint PCS, use your regular ISP and no modem is required.
