Question

I got a problem to make my palmVNC connect my pc because my pc is behind firewall(zone alarm pro). Is there anybody that can help me configure my zone alarm pro so I can use palmVNC?

Do you have a computer on the same side of the firewall that you could verify the server portion is working? I use VNC (on PCs) at the office all the time.

when I close the firewall, I can use palmVNC but after I activate my zonealarm, it's not working anymore.

I have to go thru two firewalls, (my Ugate 3000, then Atguard (now called Norton Internet Security - AtGuard is like ZoneAlarm but better, it also has Ad banner filtering, cookie control, etc..), you have to open up ports 5900 and 5800, or as they say on the VNC (the main VNC website ( http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/internalversion.html ) not the Palm VNC one), ports 59XX and 58XX (where XX is the screen number (i.e. Unix machines can have more the one screen running at a time), on pc's it's going to be 0)

As a safety precaution, I would setup your firewall to only allow connections from your IP address if you are lucky enough to have a permanent one (i.e. Minstrel S )

See the FAQ section on the VNC site listed above, was helpful for me.
