...The criminal news media, Hollyweird and everything that is wrong with our world doesn't need to be constatly put in front of our kids for display.
I sure as hell wouldn't want Bill, Hillary, or Michael Jackson around my kids !
I may be somewhat idealistic, but I have no need of government assistance raising my children. If I can't control what they see, which I know I can not always do, I can control their understanding of what they see. I am not saying porn should be on abc primetime, but what is there now is acceptable to me. If I don't want my kids to see it they won't and if they do see something I cant control (JJ's breast) I can explain it away. It is so easy to make it a non issue. A parents' reaction has huge influence on the importance a child assigns to a given situation. No big deal to us, very likely no big deal to them.
Having children is great responsibility as you know. I accept that and expect nothing from our government in the way of help protecting them. That's not what our government was created for.
Did you let your kids watch the news? Cause it's worse than many regular shows.
I am curious just how government intervention is going to keep Bill, Hilary or Michael away from your kids. they are all free citizens at the moment. If they get near your kids that will be your fault.
For what it's worth, being holier than thou has nothing to do with being Christian. Anyone, religious or not, can act superior. It's just an expression.
You are presenting opinion, not truth. The truth is relative anyway. One man's truth is another man's lies.

It is a discussion man, take a pill
And I seriously doubt hiding behind alchohol and drugs is the answer.
