i love my magellan!
but i would like to learn more about the numbers and letters floating around besides just n-s-e-w. my question is whether there is a manual for the magellan gps or the software that came with it. also any general info sites or books on gps and learning how to use all the different bells and whistles would be greatly appreciated. thanks all . . . . .

There is a basic help system on the Map Companion CD that came with your Magellan Companion. At the root level there's a folder called "Help Files", launch "GPS COMPANION HELP.HLP" to get in.

It's not very helpful though - it contains little more info than you can get by poking around the software by yourself.

Good luck.
