Sprink Digital Link: Self-Powering Prism

I recently nabbed a used Sprint PCS Digital Link phone off eBay. It's only been a day, and although it's a bit bulky, I think it's pretty neat.

I've noticed one problem. While the phone is on, the Visor's screen (Prism) turns itself on at undetermined intervals. Even if I turn the screen off manually, it will pop back on in a few seconds.

Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a way to fix it?

I had the same thing happen with my Sprint Digital Link and Prism, so I guess you could say it's "normal," even though it's unacceptable. So long as you have a short time out set on your Prism, and the screen brightness about half way, you shouldn't experience any real battery loss over it.

This is supposed to be fixed in one of the "elusive" firmware upgrades...
