Question

This is somewhat off topic, but to the people like Mark Eagle, and Hoser_in_USA ? and Gameboy70, I think we should thank for contributing so much. I don't know how you do it, 700+ posts is a lot to do especially since the visor is only from october! well, Keep Posting, It's good to know that when you read a post by you we know we can trust it, or it's a opionon(sp) that should be listened to!

Thank you for the kind words...

I, too, got a load of useful information from this site prior to obtaining my Visor... might even have been what made me do it!

I just try to help when I can, plus, I really don't have a life!

Red face

wow, i wasn't expecting a post like that. thanks!

It has been awhile eh? I got my visor just before US thanksgiving last year and she's still running! (original model).

As far as an opinion worth listening to....my fiancee might disagree sometimes but it's nice to know somebody else listens!

I've got to say that there are some folks whose posts I also look for. Remember too that some discussions tend to rack up one's totals! I don't recall how deeply involved in this they were, but does anyone remember "Better screen protectors?!" I think I added about 30 to my total just on that thread alone!

Thumbs up

It's cracking me up that this thread started today 'cause I was just talking about it with my wife. On another thread, Mark convinced me to play Mikey and give the new UBB a chance and I said I would if he did. The wife happens by and asks me who the eagle guy was and why it mattered to me what he thought. I tried to explain the qualites of some of these guys that were mentioned, but she finally got it when I finally exclaimed that Mark was kinda like Pappa Visor. (Too bad Mark has ice instead of blue to complete the analogy). Seriously, though, when I had my first newbie question answered in a thoughtful complete fasion by Mark, that's what kept me coming back to VC and encouraged me to learn more. So thanks to all you guys for being there for the rest of us!

that made me laugh. I think that name might stick Mark. ("How much longer till we get the SixPac Pappa Visor?!?!") i watched too much TV when i was a kid (still do sorta).

As far as the humour James...I'm still trying to figure out what was funny? My comment or the notion that you get paid?!

Talking

my girl certainly knows about the relationships i have with you guys, and, tho' she doesn't know you by name, you are (all too) often a part of our conversations.

as far as the tv thing goes, do we need to stick with the smurfs thing? i mean, i sort of feel like happy days might be appropriate (the fonz, potsie, malph, mr c., et al.), M*A*S*H perhaps, or maybe head of the class... i guess the smurfs are all distinct and stuff, but, man, they're blue and they're only three apples high! (by the way, everyone needs to check out http://www.jumptheshark.com )

that's what being a latch key kid gets you i guess.

<sigh>for what it's worth, hoser, i think the whole thing's a little sad, too...</sigh>

cool site! i just forwarded it to a bunch of friends.

I too am a latchkey kid...

I KNOW! instead of the smurfs, maybe we can pretend that those of us with HUGE amounts of posts are like the guys (girls?) sitting in a circle in star wars with yoda and the young skywalker kid and his 2 buddies are standing in the middle and they ask questions ....sorry. i think we're WAYY off that.

smurfs it is.

Just had a thought. One day there needs to be some sort of Visorcentral 'Reunion' (i was looking at that website, matty, when i thought of this) where those of us that spend TOO much time on here meet up for a cruise or something in the caribean (i think i spelt that wrong).

I'm all for it... IF Marcus and James foot the bill!!! If that's out of the question, we can crash James' place and send back a few of those Shiner Bock's!

How's that for humor?

I, too, want to thank everyone here who has been helpful. I wish there was a site like this for all of life's problems! Anyhow, whenever either my husband or I have had a problem, I've known where to go to get the straight scoop! Thanks a bunch!

BTW, Mark, eagles are nice. We just got back from a trip to Alaska and I saw an eagle fly for the first time -- really cool! (Actually, saw lots of the. I briefly wondered why they had white heads, which are so very visible in the midst of the dark forest greenery -- it's the advantage of being the top of the food chain!)

Um... Yes I... ...and to... Oh, forget it, I was going to post something but then I realized I only have 90 posts....

Actually I wanted to comment on the fact that it is nice to have informative people that post a lot. At other sites there are people with 1500+ posts that don't know diddly squat. They just whine a whole lot and rack up the numbers. It's great to be able to get accurate responses (not too much pressure on you guys yet, is there? hehe).
