Check the Palm software sites and look for Daylight Savings Hack.

Exclamation

Yes, Ratbertio, but Daylight Savings Hack 2.1.1 is listed in the Visor incompatibility list: http://www.visorcentral.com/sil.php3?id=63

Question

I honestly don't remember paying attention to my daylight savings this year... However, my time is correct.

I don't have DS Hack (daylight savings hack) installed either. Wish I would've watched!

Either way, there's another program out that apparently put DS control into your Preferences. Check out "DST Panel v1.00"
at http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Cable/5206/ .

Be warned that at PalmGearHQ, reports/reviews are mixed as far as crash reports and working versions... Not sure how it will fare on Visor... i.e. BACKUP FIRST!

ALSO, DSHack v2.1.3 is out and apparently compatible with OS 3.3... not sure about Visor though (might say on his site): http://www.benc.hr

Check out DST Panel, http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Cable/5206/dstpanel.htm. It adds a DST drop down item to the Palm Prefs app (where it should be). When I got it, it was free (GNU), but now it is listed as shareware. It's still 1.00 so it should be free. I like it much more than DST Hack, I never could get that thing to work, and DST Panel worked great on my BVD.

Mike.... you must not have read the post immediately above yours posted yesterday. I'm pretty sure I referenced DST panel...

Sorry about the Daylight Savings Hack suggestion. I'm still a Palm III guy so I haven't paid much attention to the incompatability list.

Time Notification Crash?

I used DST panel and it did set the time on my Prism.
Unfortunatly, I also got a Fatal Exception. Here is what I think happened:
DST Panel changes time
Palm OS notifies each app of the time change
Some app doesn't handle it properly
crash
Q1) Anyone know if this is correct?
Q2) Anyone know of an app that will walk through the apps and deliver this time change notification to help find the offending app
(I saw an app on PalmGear some months ago that did this for power on notification so you could find the app that was crashing on startup)
Thanks,
dennis

P.S. Copied this to more appropriate forum (Troubleshooting), but couldn't delete it here.

I think DST should be banned or be compulsory for the contiguous United States. Indiana is fractured into three time zones because of this DST fiasco. I would love to either go over completely to DST or have no one else do it. We have NonDST EST, DST EST, and DST Central time. All this to make me wake up an hour earlier!
If you're going to go, go all the way...

OT: Az DST

Being from AZ I can tell you why they don't observer DST. Becasue the last thing you need in Arizona during the summer time is another hour of daylight.
