After reading about the Handspring products showing up in retail stores recently, I expected to see the same prices at my local Staples as I did at the Best Buy and the Handspring internet site.
But guess what? To my delight, the Staples here (Southern California) had the Deluxe for $239 and the backup module for $37.98. What's up with the different prices??

I also got a backup module for a friend (who saw my visor and wanted one for his birthday) at that same Southern California Staples for $39 bucks!

I purchase a Visor Deluxe at Staples (in Hollywood on Sunset) a couple of weeks ago for $236.99 and thought it was an oversight on the store's part. Now that the same store has a prominent endcap for Handspring, it's still advertised at the same price. I'm going to go back and check out their price on the backup module. Hopefully the $39.00 price tag that mchlwise mentioned still applies.

I just got back from Staples with my new backup module: $37.98. It's only a couple of bucks less that Handspring's price, but I also saved on the shipping cost and the wait. Now if they'll just get the Stowaway . . .
