pixel line disappearing

I seem to have very mysteriously lost the very first line of pixels across the top of my screen. I'm pretty sure it happened just recently after switching batteries, but I'm not positive. I did manage to drop it a couple of times today...wonder if that might have something to do with it...

Has anyone else ever run across this? I use Launcher III as my default launcher app, and now the very top of the tabs has disappeared. When I launch an app like ToDo or Memopad, the top left corner where the name of the app is usually displayed in a folderish looking tab is decidedly rectangular now.

well, seems a hard reset took care of the problem. Maybe some drawing routines or display memory thingy got messed up. All better now though.
