Exclamation Which Memory Expension Device?

I a begineer of using visor edge. I now insufficient of space of my internal memory and planing to upgrade on.
I found in the market got a lot of memory expension device like mempulg and flash plus. Which one I should choose?

I wonder can either one of this serves as an internal memory where we can directly run the software, application and database directly from the external memory like what we did in the internal memory in daily instead of downlaod it into our internal memory.

Cause some of my fren said it cannot run directly from external devices where we need to download it 1st to ur internal memory before we can use.

After we backup in our internal memory on external, can we use it as to copy files into it like usual for the remain space?

I think that www.launchplug.com will answer a lot of your questions.

Cool

Well, just as a data point, I have been using an InnoPocket Flash Plus with a 256meg SanDisk CF card for about a year and a half, and I love it.

I do use PowerRun to automatically copy apps to and from the CF card. There is a few seconds delay, but nothing that I cannot live with.

I carry around about 400 novels and scads of applications. And the card is only 75% full.

However, I do recommend getting a CF card reader for your desktop computer, as this will make your life much simpler. And if you are going to travel, you'd better be sure to pack plenty of batteries (or a travel charger if you have a Prism)

CardBackup from JK ware is handy as well. You can back up your Visor's internal RAM to the CF card. And if you have the InnoPocket Flash Plus, you can install CardBackup in the Flash Plus' internal RAM, so it will be available if your Visor needs a hard reset while you are on the road.

MemPlug comes with backup software. Not as nice as BackupBuddy, but it's free.

I use a MemPlug CF with a 128 MB SanDisk. Works great. It comes with a trial version of their PiDirectII, which allows direct execution of files from the CF. Changes to files are not allowed, so some programs won't work with PiDirect. Great for running big programs like RaceFever and PalmaSutra. The trial version only allows use of 10 files on the CF.

Based on info from LaunchPlug.com, I use LauncherIII. It allows me to manage programs in RAM and CF. It allows execution of programs on CF by copying to RAM first. The copy is deleted when you exit, so again files on CF won't get updated. I mostly us it for smaller programs (scores are stored in RAM).

I only have 74 MB of stuff on my CF. Movie clips, pictures, etc.
