Sorry, the Backup Module only backs up what is on the actual Visor, not the Flash Module. I think of the FM as a ZIP disk - backups for it would be on another ZIP disk, (which is not very practical for the FM), or on my PC. Besides, if the Springboard slot was being used for the Flash Module, there would be no place to put the Backup Module.

What I did was create a separate folder on my laptop for each FM (I have two). I did an "Edit Module Label" in FileMover to give each FM a distinct name. The laptop directory name matches the FM label. Every time I move something to a FM, I put a copy of the file under the matching directory. This way, if I ever lose or destroy the FM, I know exactly what was on it, and can get the files back easily. (They would have to be re-installed to the Visor, and then moved to the FM.) Hmmmm, it would be great if my laptop could talk directly to the Flash Module... oh well.

Sounds like something is wrong. Mine have been compacted several times, and Ive havent had a problem with them. Have you had a problem with your Visor resetting at other times, (if so, when?) or is it mostly when the FM is compacting? If it's the latter, you could have a bad module...
