Angry

Just bought the Modem Module and I'm trying to use Proxiweb. I think all the settings are correct, but it just dials in to the ISP (MSN) and sits there. After a few minutes it gives a "error/Timeout" and dissconnects.
I'm no computer genius, so someone please help. Anyone had the same problems??

Did you register for a Proxiweb password for the proxy server? If you didn't, you need to get a username and password from ProxiNet.

Proxiweb can access non-secure websites with no problem, but not without a password and username from ProxiNet, you can't access secure web pages.

Actually, you don't really need to use ProxiWeb at all. Have you tried surfing the Net with AvantGo? The latest version (Version 3.3 Build 383) has the ability to surf the Web while you are online with better graphics than ProxiWeb, I might add. Unfortunately, AvantGo never tells you when a new version is out so you will have to go to their website and wade into their multiple pages to download the ENTIRE desktop client once again.

Thumbs up

Got it to work, but I had to tell proxiweb to tell msn who I was......It seems silly to have to do that, I already configured Proxiweb with all the correct info. I didn't realize I had to send script commands, but oh well!
