Post Screen Resolution question...

Hey y'all,

I've got a screen resolution question. I've noticed that when I'm in different applications I get a different contrast spectrum when I tap in the lower left corner. I realize that different applications will have different resolutions, but what I found disturbing is that when I'm in any applications menu I get the same grainy contrast spectrum I used to get on my VDx. Does this mean that the Palm OS doesn't take advantage of all the shades of grey it could?

Thanks for pointing that out when I mentioned this same problem earlier, Mike. You can forget that money-laden Christmas card this year.

Nope. I'm sending it to your English teacher. She has a tough job ahead of her.

Once again, thanks, Miradu. I installed it last night, and it works well. One interesting side effect, though...
I installed Silverscreen several months ago because I wanted to change the icons for some of my applications. The one thing I hate about Silverscreen, though, is that you have to refile springboard applications when you insert the module. That's the one advantage the default viewer has over Silverscreen. What I noticed after installing Toggle is that I retained the Silverscreen application icons in the default viewer -- so now I have the best of both worlds!

Does anybody think this will help ease the grayscale quirkyness I experience with Afterburner? Make it worse?

Question

Just so it's clear to me (thick head). From the URL you gave us, I get the impression this utility is for OS 3.5 and above. Is that right, Mike? If so, at the risk of appearing dopier than I probably am about all this stuff, is there anything similar for us folks with VDx units? Again, sorry if this is an stupid question -- still trying to learn.

Jeez, relax on yourself, there. Go back to the site and click the "download" link. Instead of just dl'ing it (as I assumed), it first sends you to a page answering your question. Looks like it works with anything 3.0 and above, but won't give you more greyscale than the device can handle.

I think that all it does it make sure that apps use your screen to the fullest, some programs are not written to do that (for simplicity's sake, usually), and I think this makes sure that they do. Yes?
