Question

I currently have a MatchbookDrive CF Adapter w/ a 64Mb Sandisk. The news about the new Memplug CF Adapter that allows user to run Palm apps off the CF card is good news to me. Here is my question:
Could I just plug the current CF card into that Memplug CF Adapter and hope that PiMover could read the card's content?
Another way to phrase my question: Is PiMover compatible with FAFileMover?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Supposedly all of PI's software they have now will be compatible with the CF adapter.

Memplug-CF is a ture springboard module that will compatible with CF card available, but not other CF adatpters available in the market.

What I mean is the CF card written by those CF adapter or PC/Mac CardReader can be read and write by Memplug-CF. But you won't be abled to run Pi-Applications on other band name CF adapters(as they have different File System and drive library).

It is because MemplugCF file system and device drive is designed by Portable Innovation Ltd. Memplug and MemplugCF share the same FileSystem Library.

Applications run on Memplug will also be run on MemplugCF, and vice versa. Developers interested in develope applications for Memplug's family product can download our SDK free of charge from:
www.memplug.com

Hope the above help.

MemPlug-CF use standard FAT-12/16 format. As long as others do the things in standard. I don't find that will be any problems. At least, my MemPlug-CF can read the files written by PC, and vice versa.

I also have a Matchbookdrive CF Adapter. I currently use CSpotRun with my Matchbookdrive, which reads directly off the CF card.

I expect that we will see a beta software giving VFS capabilities from Kopsis in the near future. This will open up accessing the CF card directly to a number of applications, I prefer this approach, as it builds upon the new Palm standard.

Does anyone (PiDeveloper?) know for sure whether the MemplugCF, with an inserted CF card, will change the size of the Visor?

My main reason for holding off on a Memplug this long, is because I don't want any memory device that will interfere with the use of my hardcase, and though I have heard rumors of a new Memplug design that does not change the form factor of the Visor, I have yet to see anyone comment on actually having one of these rumored devices.

Since CF is my optimal memory device, the MemplugCF looks quite exciting, but I really need to know if it mounts flush with the top of the unit or not, and their site does not show any cards inserted in the devices.

So, let me get this straight: PiMover is not compatible/the same as the standard PalmOS VFS, right? nogood.
