Hello --

I've searched the boards and found others with the same problem, but the solutions aren't working for me. I'm waiting for HS level 2 support to get back to me (to give credit where due, they have tried and missed me).

Everything was fine. Then I had a stack overflow on my computer and then I had DNS problems with my ISP. So a lot of help people had me doing mysterious things to my computer. Then the next day, I couldn't hotsync. 'Unable to connect'.

I de-installed and re-installed the Palm desktop numerous times, sometimes using the downloaded update from the HS site and sometimes using the installation CD. I checked the port by plugging in my Speedloader and it works fine. The cradle is able to charge my Prism, so I suppose it's all right. I tried installing the cradle as hardware, and had to tell it where to find the visorusb.sys file -- there are two on my system, one in system 32/drivers and one in Program Files/Handspring/drivers.

I restarted my system and reset my Prism. I'm about to do a *gulp* hard reset.

Anyone have any suggestions? I've tried everything I've found here, and so far nothing has worked.
