Springport Discontinued?

I went to Intel's site, and the Springport is nowhere to be found.
Im wondering if Intel has dropped this product and how diffulcult finding support may be.
The only ones on Amazon's site are listed as "Like New" but then under seller info there are comments about item being brand new?
Has anyone purchased one of these from any of the retailers on Amazon?
Also if im on dialup at home, will it be diffulcult setting this up to connect through my Desktop PC?

If you are talking about the wireless Module, then yes, you will probably have a bit of a problem using it with dialup. It requires a 802.11b access point or wireless router. Since you can't interact with a pc, other than doing a hotsync, it's really only worthwhile getting one if you have a broadband connection. If you mean the xircom 56k modem, then you can set that up to work with your dial-up ISP for both web access and email access.

Both devices are still listed on Intels pages, they are a bit hard to find. Since the Visors have been discontinued I'm sure most springboard devices will soon be too, unless they come up with a Treo that takes them. I suspect however that things will be moving towards the SD slot like Palms units.
