MemPlug: SM vs CF

The Sunday CompUSA ads list MemPlugs as being on sale this week for $30, so it seems like it might be a wise time to pick one up. Two questions:

1. Should I be leery of that? Is there something about the MemPlug modules I don't know?

2. Which MemPlug do people think is the one to choose--Smart Media or Compact Flash? I currently have no other devices that use either.

There has all ready been a couple of threads regarding this you might want to check out. The review of Memplug is posted at VisorCentral. The best place to get a feel if its worth it is the check out the Yahoo group (www.yahoogroups.com/memplug) that discusss how there useing it. SM is slower then the CF but from what I've read SM is more stable and does not drain the juice as much. If you go the CF route check out the brands that don't work first. All sm seems to work.
