Having just received my Vaja Prism case yesterday, I don't appreciate this. If this new Innogear case is of the same high quality as the Vaja case then the Innogear is the case I've been looking for all year!
Does it look like it would fit the Prism? The photos and color selections are exactly the same as the offerings on the Vaja site. I hate to think that Vaja is planning on unveiling this AFTER so many of us have invested in their Prism case...

I asked Vaja about this. Here is their reply:

"the cases shown in this link are from vaja.
but we were and are offering them as well."

Now they tell me....

Innogear/Vaja case

Vaja has now got these Minijam cases up on their site too. You can preorder it. They appear to be for the Visor only -- I assume they do not fit the Prism.

Question

Looking at the picture on the Vaja site, it appears to be a Prism with the MiniJam. I hope it fits the Prism (since I own one). The one thing I'm wondering about is if the case will also fit with a Minstrel modem attached?

Me too. I really need a case big enough for a Visor and Minstrel.

It is a Vdx. Look at the closeup. The power button is clearly on the left. And on the Vaja site, the Prism text has a green strip (see the 834 and 831 models) and the Visor text has a blue strip (see the 781 and 785). Finally, when I sent an e-mail to Vaja asking if the new Minijam case -- the 785 model-- would fit Prisms, here's the reply I got:

the cases for the prism are 834 and 831 models.
check them on the site for colours and combinations information.
you'll be able to find the availability time of each one of them there.

So I guess I'll just live with my Vaja Prism case -- and I'll wait to see what the EB Slipper for the Prism and Mistrel S looks like. If that can hold a Minijam too, then maybe that's the case I've been waiting for...

Question

Anybody know if the cases have a belt clip? I couldn't tell from the picture.

Question

OK, I understand that the case is not for the Prism. However, why not? When you look at the measurements for the case the prism would fit. So far the only difference I have found is that the LCD light would be covered. Big deal, you can't sync it with the case on anyways. I can live without seeing the LCD light. Am I wrong? Maybe I'm trying to hard to make this case work for me? If I'm crazy please let me know.

The "problem" with putting a Prism in it is the one thing that I don't like about the Vaja cases: the cutout for the buttons is asymmetrical, so the power button wouldn't be exposed under plastic.

Personally I would prefer they leave the plastic out, and make that portion of the case soft leather with stencilled outlines for the buttons rather than any kind of cutout.

Does anyone make a case like that?

I think another problem with using that case for a Prism lies in the back of the device. The curved back really requires extra room. Since Vaja cases fit like a glove, I think it would be almost impossible to fit a Prism into a Visor Vaja.

I am using a Visor Phone Sport Case from HS for my Prism/Minstrel combo. It fits a little bit tight and the cover barely fits over to the velcro, but it DOES work for now. It has a cutout for the antenna on the left.

Has anyone received this yet?

I am only buying this for my Minstrel/VDX combo and taking a chance on the fit. I bought the Extreme Limits Bodysuit and absolutely love the case. The two cards, wallet attachment, as well as the attempt to make it fit Springboards gave me the assurance it was a good buy. But it eventually lost a little of my faith when the only thing keeping it together is a leather strap through an eye slot on the front. I keep toying with the notion of velco on the leather or having a shoeman affix a snap, but I never get around to it.

SOOOO... now I spend 73 bucks for an upgraded case that could maybe fix my need for a case that can attach to my belt, hold my Drivers licence, insurance card, doorpass to get in my condo, and some money in the money pouch, use the MMC slots for something else (since I don't own any springboards that use them), and have my minstrel always attached.

By the way, does anyone know if there is a size difference from a platinum and visor? I am going to go check right now, I am just not sure how readily available this info is...

Welp, now I have done it... I had the trust of my fiance with all gadget purchases because of my elaborate justification for all of them. Not that I couldn't get up and purchase something but now I have finally done it....

I bought this case. I am not very happy. I don't own a MiniJam. I don't own any modules that fit this case. I don't even like the leather. It looks like cheap slip on shoes found at Discount Show Outlets. I think I am being a bit negative but this is my opinion collectively. I spent 73 bucks for a case that I could fit my Minstrel and my VDX or Platinum in. Welp... don't even look twice if this is your intention. It doesn't fit.

So, now I wonder if it is better to ship it back and get a good sum of my refund (shipping to Argentina might be a little pricey). Or should I take it to a leather shop in town and see how the leatherman can construct something for me...

Is it worth it to return it and maybe test out the Sport Case from Handspring, although I know this is how I want to carry around my Visor and Minstrel. I want a case that incorporates the two together, and has the credit card slots.

I have been so happy with my Extreme Limits case. It doesn't have everything I need, matter of fact I have some ideas on how I could make mine better but I don't think it has the capability of incorporating the Minstrel and VDX by slight modification...

DOES ANYONE WANT TO DESIGN A CASE AND SUBMIT IT TO A CASE MAKER? I think this is what it is going to come down to...
