I just purchased a Pilot Pentopia Chameleon stylus, because it has a reset pin, a cool, spring-dampened stylus tip, and a ball point pen, all in one. It fits the PP and Visor, but though it slides easily into the latter, the ridge at the back end of the stylus does not extend out far enough so there isn't enough grab area to slide the stylus back out. It goes in, but it doesn't come out--at least not without some extra effort.

Warning--don't use this stylus with the Visor.

Hi Chris,

Would it be possible to insert a small piece of cellulose sponge (or something) into the Stylus bay to lift the Chameleon up a bit?

-David.

Hi,

Drgandy: strange. my chameleon could fit, but it would get really tight once it was deep in enough for the rear cap to hit the silo opening. So my former statement, "...it slides easily," was wrong. Only up to the end cap.

David: I suppose it's possible to do what you're proposing, but I don't want to stick anything inside, or open the shell, to try it.

Here's another problem that I just discovered with the stylus: the reset pin does not even reach the reset button!! Isn't that funny? The very reason I bought the thing in the first place was that it had a reset pin. (I didn't even seriously consider the HS stylus pack. I'm not about to wait 6 weeks for five styli--let alone ONE stylus, which is the quantity I prefer in the first place. Who needs five? okay, maybe some of you do...but I don't need, nor do I want, five.)

I guess the Chameleon was really made to fit the PIII, because I was going to give it to my girlfriend, along with her new(used) PalmPilot. The stylus didn't fit in the PP either. With that one it was too narrow and just slipped out with no friction at all.
