What case with Memplug

I keep a Memplug SM in my new Prism, and was wondering what case to use...I know that the standard Prism cases won't fit over the Memplug.

Any ideas would be helpful

Thanks

Randy

I used an EB Slipper Prism with Belt Clip. If you do not want it on your belt, you could always order the one without the clip.

It worked fine with the Original MemPlug. I did end up cutting the edge of my SmartMedia Card, so it would fit flush. Much nicer than when it sticks out. Of course, you do not have to do this to use the Slipper Prism, it works fine without cutting it.

What case with Memplug

Besides the EB Slipper is there any other case that will fit the prism w/ Memplug? Are all of the cases made by "Visor" out of the question? I'd really prefer the clipping system they use.

I believe that the new MemPlug, the one that fits flush all around, will work fine with the HandSpring cases. Of course, you have to make sure you purchase the one made for the Prism.

If you already have a MemPlug and it is the original, the one that sticks out on the back, then you cannot use the HandSpring cases. You could probably use one of the aftermarket cases of that style, but most of those use velcro.

There are other cases that clip on the belt that would work. You could try Vaja or go to CompUSA and see there selection of PalmHandheld cases. There are some that clip on your belt and are designed for the PDA to be removed when used, instead of the ones like the EB Slipper.

Targus also makes a case that allows you to put your PDA and Stowaway in the same case.

Here are some sites:

Vaja
Targus
EB
Rhino

Thanks for some more ideas. I have a MemPlug CF and a SM one. I actually got the CF one after the SM. While both are not completely flat to the back of the Visor, the CF version actually has 2 small projections (legs) that stick up about 1/16" even further from the back (Does that mean that it is the "older version"), hence the problem I'm having in finding a case to fit. . I thought about seeing if I could cut or file them off, but that probably voids the warranty. I picked up one of the Visor Bifold Prism cases, but haven't opened the box because I'm trying to figure out a solution. I saw somewhere a "Fellowes Bumper" case that is supposed to fit the Visor Deluxe or Solo, but I have no idea if it will work with the Prism or not. Does anyone have any experience with it? I didn't see any kind of review for it on the site.

I use the Visor Sport & Adventure Case made by Handspring with my Memplug CF and GPS module (not at the same time). The case is made of neoprene. This material stretches around your visor and Memplug unit providing a snug fit. It also protects and cushions your handheld. It has a snap belt that lets you carry your visor either upright through the your belt or sideways (if you slide the Cases snap-belt through you pants belt loops). I recommend choosing the Black case if its going to be part of your business attire.

Thumbs up

I use the Rhinoskin Slider. Its a little expensive but it works fine with the MemPlug installed. In my business, you need all the protection you can get.

Hi!
The new memplug SM should fit in most any case. I have one and use the Franklin Planner binder and it fits.

Musta got an old one (even though I only bought it a couple weeks ago)...

It's marked 1.0 on the label. Nuts.

Could someone post a picture of new memplug WITH SM card inside. I'm sure it was just a someone's joke. You can take a look on any website that sells memplug and you will find that all of them have old design.

Not exactly sure what you mean about someone's joke, but you can see the new MemPlug design on their website. They have several pictures available.

I didn't find any image with SM inside. I'd like to know is SM still sticks out or not.
