Can someone explain to me what Launcher III is? Is it the same as the free program that modifies the look of the palm desktop so that it has tabs--it is called Launcher III v2.2 by Benc Software? I didn't know it could "launch" apps from the memory cards.

It is the one and same, only NEW & IMPROVED.

The 2.2 version does not handle the memory card but the new version does.

The only thing is, it's BETA. I found out about it because Mike bragged about it here on visorcentral, so I emailed the devloper Bozidar Benc, [email protected] and asked him about the release.

He was very friendly and emailed the BETA to me. It seems very stable to me but I have only used it for 3 days.

I really like the tabs to organize my many apps.

AND IT'S STILL FREE!

Isn't that a cool app?!?!

Best money I didn't spend on software! I may send some money anyway.. It somehow goes against the laws of the universe to have so much coolness and not pay!

Mike,
Glad you're here.
I wanted to ask you, have you place any apps w/databases in Palm/launcher directory? Do they work OK?
I mean like AvantGo, Docs To Go, Browse-it, to name a few.

So Far, I have tried a currency app with a database, WOW, it loaded great, and showed 'creating database' took about 2 secs.
The rest has been games so far. I think I need to email my current working list to Bozidar.

I just put the AvantBloat program itself on the card. In this case you don't want to put the db's on the card as the conduit won't see them.

The databases of regular programs don't transfer(for now). Bozidar is working on a way to include the DB's as well.
