help!

Can anyone help me??
I have a compaq ipaq 3650 and use ms outlook 2000 as my pim.. I just got my wife a handspring deluxe and she uses netscape communicator for her e-mail management. I have been able to syncronize her handspring to the palm desktop pim, but when I attempt to sychronize her mail, if loads my mail from outlook instead.. What am I doing wrong??
I am pretty sure I have done everything correclty, mail set up to Nescape communicator, etc. etc..

any help would be tremendous..

You know what I got the same problem. However I'm curious what Netscape version are you using.

I have a theroy, but I do not know enough to be sure that I have a solution.

What I know: The mail conduit used by the Palm Hotsync manager to sync with Netscape uses MAPI (mail application protocal internface).
What I assume is happening: Outlook is currently the MAPI server and thus that is why your wife's Hotsync picks up your mail.

What you can try:

Set Netscape as the MAPI server. Under my copy of Netscape 4.76 the steps are: Menu Edit / Menu Preferences / Tree Mail & Newsgroups / Set Checkbox Use Netscape Messenger for MAPI-based applications. However I could see that this could reverse the problem. I do not know if your ipaq's mail link uses MAPI or some other method to fetch the mail.
I do know that one can only have one MAPI server active at a time. I do not know if it is possible to have a different MAPI server active on different logins. If such is possible you could setup multiple logins, one for you and one for your wife, and then have Netscape be the MAPI server for your wife's login and Outlook 2000 for yours.

I think the minimum version of Netscape the Palm Hotsync mail conduit can link with is 4.5.

Hi techie2000. You said you're using Netscape 6.2 and you can sync your mail?
I'd love to hear how your doing that. I've tried to get mail transferred to my Prism from NS 6.2 and it doesn't want to work at all. Hope to hear something soon!
