Question First Synch On Upgraded Computer

Our IS guys just upgraded the OS on my work desktop to Windows 2000 from NT. In the process of doing so, they wiped out the hard drive did a complete, clean install of all of our usual work-related programs.

This means that all of my Palm stuff - desktop, conduits, etc - was erased.

Of course, all of my Outlook info is current, as that is stored on the server somewhere.

Here's my question - it's easy enough to reinstall the Palm desktop and Outlook conduits, but what happens the first time I synch? Will I get doubles of everything, or what? The only way I can think of to handle it is to have the Handheld overwrite desktop on everything (my Prism is a little more current) but I hesitate to do that.

Any suggestions on how to handle it? Thanks in advance.
