Here is a good question. How many times have you had to reboot your visor? I am having to reset the Visor regularly with this error:

Preferences.c, Line 166,
PrefDBOpenError

I've noticed that it seems to happen when I press the address button.

Apps in memory (beyond what come normally with the Visor):
FireEscape
Giraffe

HackMaster and the following hacks:
Daylight Savings Hack (2.1.1)
GreenLightHack
BatteryMeterHack

HandyShop
HardBall
Matrix
Niggle

I had a problem with one of the available battery hacks that required me to soft reboot. I don't recall which one it was, I've since deleted it. That might be your problem...

Also, isn't DaylightSavingsHack a moot point, now that we have CityTime built in?

I think I've heard that Daylight Savings Hack causes problems.

I've had mine about a week, and have been using it a lot, with 0 soft resets.

Hart:

If you haven't already, upgrade DSHack with the new version (2.1.1). The version you're using will bounce you with regularity.

I had problems with DS hack 2.1.1. I only had to reboot a couple of times, before I removed it. All I know is I haven't had to reboot since then.

I was receiving the same error message as above. After reading this string I uninstalled the daylight savings hack 2.1.1 and have had no problems since. That seems to be what's causing the problem.
Thanks for helping me out

I've only had to reboot once, and it was a hard-reset at that. An errant hack, but I don't remember which one. I promptly deleted it from my PC and didn't reload it onto the Visor. I've decided to avoid unnecessary OS hacks until I have a backup option working.

I will say, that I about had a cow when the Visor started giving me "Fatal Errors". Even after I thought I had done a hard reset. (So I didn't know the hard-reset procedure very well...) Once I got the hard reset figured out, it came back to the happy welcome screen just like it was fresh from the shrinkwrap.
