I've got a Visor deluxe that I use w/my laptop. My laptop uses a USB network adapter to access the internet through a home lan. Is there a way to hotsync while I'm connected to the internet so I can use AvantGo or Stock Manager to update stocks, news, weather? Will a multi-port USB hub allow me to do both at the same time? Or will I have to buy a PCMCIA ethernet card(which I really don't want to do)? Thanks for any suggestions,

Are you saying you only have 1 USB port on the laptop? If so, a multi-port USB hub should work allowing you to connect the Visor cradle along with the network adapter. I have two 4-port hubs with 7 different devices on my desktop and everything plays together nicely.

Yes Mark, I've got just one port. Once I add a 4 port hub, will the Hotsync process allow the downloading of stock quotes from the internet and then the uploading of those quotes to the Visor at the same time through the hub? Thanks,

This is what I do. On Yahoo you can personize a page with your own stocks,weather,news, movies etc. Then choose Yahoo as a channel on Avantgo. Once you hot sync with Avantgo then yahoo downloads your stock quotes to the visor. But you also have to be carefull to configure the visor to accept your "personal Yahoo page" and not the general yahoo page otherwise you will get the general yahoo page and not your personal one with your stock quotes.

The problem I'm having is that I can't Hotsync AND access Avantgo in one step, because I currently access the internet through my USB port, which is how I Hotsync, too. I think I'll try using a USB hub, and if it doesn't work, I'll just return it.

A USB hub should work just fine. I don't hotsync through USB, but I do use a hub with my PNA network along with several other USB devices and have no problem. CompUSA has a small Belkin 4-port hub for $29.

I got the USB hub and it works great. I've got the Visor cradle, the internet connection and a card reader for a digital camera connected simultaneously and all worked without a problem.

That's a good hint however I don't know how you made your visor go to your account and not to the main page. I tried mine and it doesn't work because I can't get into my account. Where do you set up this option? I am using Win98 and AvantGo 3.1 Please help..
