Hi ageibel.. Did you download the non-gps enabled version yet? I have checked it out to see if I was going to purchase it. Here's what I found:
- There are NO CURVES on anything. Everything is angular streets, water, everything. Looks nasty in my opinion. I can imagine that using a GPS on these angular streets would put you waaayy off the street that you were driving down.
- Screen gets muddled (really busy) looking at all zoom levels 1x thru 128x.
- The maps are not detailed enough. Even at the highest zoom, it's still missing many major streets in the Boston download, yet it shows apartment buildings (??)
- On the plus side, it has a good pretty good options menu, and just about everything appears to be adjustable.
I just can't get over the terrible display. Maybe it is because they haven't worked out the color software yet. It is in color, but it's pretty ugly.
I haven't found anything much better than the Quo Vadis (Marcosoft) software that came with it. I'm still looking for good topo maps that are decent, and don't break the bank.... Maybe the new mapopolis version (which is going to support GPS) will be a good choice for street level mapping with points of interest and waypoint availability. I hear it's coming out real soon.
