Hey,
I'm about ready to take the plunge and buy myself a wireless modem, but I'm not sure which one I would like to get. Right now I have a Visor Deluxe, but if the Omnisky service is better in boston, then I'm willing to take the plunge and buy myslef either a new Plantum, or Prism.
My main factor in my decision is which service provides the best ACTUAL service. For people who don't live or go to boston much, wireless service there is lousy at best (especially in cambridge), and I would like to get the most of my money for the service.
Another factor that is going to help my decision is that I travel to the midwest alot (maybe 2 monhts a year), and I would hate to have it not work here. My main place of stay in the midwest is Grand Haven Michigan, but I also seem to make many stops through-out the entire state, and I travel down to chicago often.

YY or OS

as an owner of both services I can say that in terms of network coverage they are exactly the same: same modems and same carrier partners (novatel and ATT/Verizon). So it really comes down to services available-YY browser can access 90+% of all web pages while OS is much less (50% or so), plus YY can work with frames, graphics and text. YY also has more services such as my yadayada page, wireless sync (coming soon they tell me), alerts, quicksnaps (like avantgo), email.
As an owner of both I prefer my YY service. In terms of coverage in the Midwest, Chicago is covered-can't speak to Grand Rapids but I believe YY site has a zip code lookup.
